                Professional Journey

My passion for working with children, supporting their development, and creating meaningful learning spaces has been a long-term interest. My Early Childhood Education path started at Humber College, where I learned by doing, creating children's learning through play and inquiry-based practices.

Experience with Young Children

I have always wanted to work with young children, so I decided to pursue a profession in Early Childhood Education. During my studies at Humber Polytechnic, I participated in practical activities that helped me to learn more about child development. I've worked in a variety of early learning settings, promoting play-based learning, story reading, and interactive activities that help children develop their thoughts, feelings, and social skills. My practice has emphasized the importance of building trusting relationships with children, families, and colleagues. This is critical for building a positive and inclusive learning environment.

                      My Future Goals

My future goals as an early childhood educator focus on fostering holistic development in children by creating learning experiences that support their growth in various ways. I am committed to promoting inclusive education, ensuring that every child, regardless of their abilities, has access to high-quality early learning programs that meet their unique needs. Additionally, I aim to prioritize arts-based activities, providing children with opportunities to express their creativity, build confidence, and develop essential skills through artistic exploration. By integrating these approaches, I hope to create an engaging and supportive learning environment that nurtures every child's potential.

    Land Acknowledgement

I would like to point out that I am currently a learner at Humber Polytechnic which is situated on the traditional and treaty 13, 1805 territories of the Mississaugas of the Credit. This territory is governed by the dish with one spoon wampum, a treaty between the Anishinaabeg, Haudenosaunee, Wendat, and other nations to peacefully share the land and its resources. This land also hosts many culturally diverse First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples. I acknowledge and honor the legacy and rich traditional wisdom of the Indigenous Peoples on this land. With thanks, I pledge to deepen my understanding of and advance the cause of reconciliation in education.
